Kelley Rae Martin

Appalachian by birth, Kelley is a transplant to the Adirondacks. Her work of memoir/nonfiction, A Place Called Solid, was published in 2015 and is available on Amazon. Her nonfiction and poetry has appeared in Now and Then MagazineMountain Echoes, SN Review, the Appalachian Independent, Palooka Literary Journal, and the Anthology of Appalachian Literature. She has taught at numerous universities, having worked in nonprofit arts organizations prior.

Kelley has an MFA from University of Baltimore, an MA in English from North Carolina State, and a BA in Journalism from St Andrews University, NC. She mentored with famed novelist Lee Smith at NCSU and Memoirist Marion Winik at UB.
